We are very proud to announce the release of our third record: El Erizo by the “Too Young To Be Famous”: Minimaril (see Extraction Argentina). The “Samba EP” followed, Minimaril’s first full release and AirDrop’s second digital outing, was a digital treat which is why AirDrop chose him to produce the next record: “El Erizo”. No problem at all as the young Venezuelan churns out tunes faster than an assembly-line worker on speed. The 19-year old DJ and producer prodigy who started taking over the clubs at the tender age of 14, is literally unstoppable.

After a happy childhood during which Mariano half-heartedly learned how to play the piano, he started playing the drums which would soon become his main instrument, happily drumming away in his mate’s garage every day–when he is not practicing his DJ sets that is. In his head, as he does not even own turntables!!! Yes, that’s right. The guy’s a miracle!

Electronic music fascinates him to the degree that he can’t ever stop making tracks! His unbiased, fresh and energetic interpretation of floor-friendly sound has made him AirDrop’s Number One Newcomer Hope of the Year, and now Minimaril actually excels himself again, ready to overrun the floors with his new release: “El Erizo” which translates to “the hedgehog” is a super special three-tracker that is bursting with bustling, heavily delayed beats and heavy-pounding, bouncy bleeps.

Exploring the deep-space sensation that a minima(ri)l arrangement offers as it leaves lots of room for great sonic experiences of the three-dimensional kind, Minimaril is offering three tight and sublimely sexy mid-tempo workouts that pound steadily while steering deep into psychoactive waters. What or whoever was the inspiration for “Canadian Football Match” and the whispering voice-sample filled “Suz”, it is down to Mariano’s magic mind that the whole experience turns into some dangerously dark, driving and seductive material to fuel the floors. You have been warned! And we mean it.
