Artist: Alejandro Mosso A. Nightwalker (Original Mix) DECKS / JUNO / DEEJAY |
The last time Alejandro Mosso released one of his original productions on Airdrop, he was still operating under his Funzion alias. Released in April 2008 and designed with Franco Cinelli, the Singa*Pure EP left a distinctive footprint on many wooden and concrete floors.

Artist: Leonel Castillo Tracklist: |
The 2nd edition of Leonel Castillo’s own Groovear label keeps the groove running into deep wax – with “Natural” and “Artificial“, two original unreleased numbers, on which Leonel develops yet again two very different aspects of his production, from jacking to proto house. DECKS / JUNO / DEEJAY |
Mysterious cult figure, Leonel Castillo is the best-kept secret the Argentine electronic music scene has brought forward so far. An icon and at the same time virtually unknown, Leonel is one of the most prominent Latin American talents. A stylistic chameleon and an ultra talented jack of all trades, he is hard to pinpoint, and even harder to categorize. Surfacing wherever it takes the vanguard talent, he’s been releasing music as Leonel Castillo and under various monikers – Arnold Slab, Boeing or Unknown Artista are some of his aliases – on labels as diverse as the legendary Estatus Discos, or Telegraph, Ilian Tape, Airdrop, Greener, Sushitech and of course on his own imprint, Groovear.

November will mark the debut European tour for Leonel Castillo. Mysterious cult figure, he is the best-kept secret the Argentine electronic music scene has brought forward so far.
Surfacing wherever it takes the vanguard talent, Leonel Castillo has been releasing music on labels as diverse as Sushitech, Classic, !K7, Telegraph, Ilian Tape and of course on his own imprint, Groovear.
Constantly reinventing himself, Leonel manages to present his musical talent in an even more refined context after each performance or record outing. He will be presenting his work this winter in Europe:
30.11 – Airdrop @ Horst, Berlin w/ DJ Deep, Paulo
04.12 – Vesvese, Istanbul
07.12 – Rex Club, Paris w/ Delano Smith
08.12 – City Hall, Barcelone

Artist: Funkalicious James Tracklist: |
Funkalicious James is one half of disco-house super-duo Childhood ‘87, along with his old pal Le Loup. Their “Caught Up” edit on Airdrop’s Aux-Rec imprint back in January 2010 got some mouths talking and feet sliding.
Funkalicious James is now back with his debut solo EP and Airdrop is really glad to bring it to you on vinyl today. The Parisian born producer prepared two explosive cuts for his A-side, starting things mellow with “Call On Groove” and speeding it up a notch on “Broken Hips“.

Following what has been one of our favorite record to plot, plan and release ever – AUX 05 / Exos / With-The Re-Edited – we are very proud to bring you 120 minutes and 70 tracks mixed in perfectly by the Icelandic master himself. Exos wrote the following words along with the mix:
“In ‘97, I heard Thor’s new record… “Class Of ‘96″, produced under the name “Flow Machine”. Thule Musik was full of life and guys like Biogen, Ozy, Plastik (Yagya), Cold, Thor, Vector, and myself were making deepdubbyminimal experiments like there was no tomorrow… I made this mix with some of the tracks I was listening to at this time, between ‘96-’99. Hope u enjoy the mix.” –– view the entire tracklist after the jump…

Artist: Various Artists Tracklist: |
Argentine house maestros Leonel Castillo and Franco Cinelli take their hats off, selecting a few legendary productions each, blending them into stomping jumbomixes that come along with heavy consequence on the dancefloor.
Boston-duo Soul Clap once had a studio date with Droog member Justin Sloe and thought about a serious dilemma, how could we make heated warmth… even warmer? They decided to call onto Sloe Clap to bring a solution to the enigma, working on the hotter remix of a sufficiently burning track, boiling it down to its bare naked essence… to be sipped by the pool – in case of fire!
