Over two years ago already, we were announcing Andres Zacco’s first EP on Airdrop. The ‘Seated Hopping EP‘ had been sent to us by Andres’ best friend, none other than el Señor Franco Cinelli. Needless to say, we fell in love with the subtlety of his music.

Fast forward until today and be prepared to be blown away by how much Zacco’s musical refinement has developed. Impossible you will say, as you remember last year’s ‘Something In Your Smile EP’ on Airdrop or ‘Drawing Clouds’ on Zacco’s Greener label. Well, give it a listen! Here are three beautiful original tracks, made out of a collection of universal sound, carefully crafted and perfectly mixed in Andres Zacco’ Rosario studio.

This fully-fledged EP comes to round off a year of successes for Andres Zacco. Having released key 12″s on Dario Zenker’s Ilian Tape label (out of which Raresh included ‘Icegrass’ on his latest Cocoon compilation, or a few weeks ago bursting all techno charts with the original ‘Dextre’ track on Jonas Kopp’s Traut imprint.

Swayzak’s Brun listened to the first sketches of this EP and immediately decided to give a go to the main track. The result is a conceptual treatment that reflects the advanced maturity of the Swayzak sound, deep inspiration to most, if not all.

Aux-Rec is back for its fourth project, following the ‘Baker Man’ edit by Soul Clap (so good it became an official remix on Laid Back’s label), first class remixes by Franco Cinelli and the ‘Caught Up’ bootleg by Le Loup & Funkalicious James aka Childhood ‘87.

We are feverish to bring you today two new bomb bootlegs by Argentine top producers Leonel Castillo and Lexdinamo. Those in the know have been familiar with these names for over ten years now and know how rare their productions are. As a matter of fact, this is probably the first time you will be able to get your hands on such bootleg productions from these two cats.

Leonel Castillo’s signature shuffly blend is unmistakably recognizable on this A-side, on which he pays his tribute to one of the most emotional Soul masterpieces by The Dells, the ‘74 released ‘I Wish It Was Me You Loved’, bringing it into full dancefloor effect. Lexdinamo does what noone did before, jumbling even further one of Bobby McFerrin’s most genius vocal medleys, ‘Drive’. Avid bootleg followers may have previously heard this version, but we just can’t get enough of it!

Jona and Airdrop came together at the beginning of the year to start plotting the silky release you are about to preview. We are really glad to end the summer on such beautiful note!

Jona needs no introduction. Each one of his record has created a certain impact on electronic dance music and allowed him to display his many facets. After releasing his first tracks and getting picked by Get Physical to be an entire part of the family, he has since released some landmark EPs on Supplement Facts and Planet E.

Currently living in his hometown of Brussels, Jona spends his energy and time polishing his fine signature sound in his own studio. Half way between EP and LP, “Perspectives” is an intimate project, aiming at showcasing a fresh and original facet of Jona’s wide array of composition.

The five pieces presented here, make for a bright blend of electro sounds, housey patterns and psyche-disco textures. A bouncy yet melancholic excursion, guided by Jona’s unique sense of groove and spotless technique.

Leeds-based duo Death On The Balcony is back for their second outing on Airdrop and oh boy, its time to party! Following their “My Place EP” – remixed by Jozif – the crazy brothers in rhythm Paul Hargreaves and Mark Caramelli are pushing us through a tobogan, straight into a pool of emotions, with three new original titles and a Mark E remix!

“We Need Passion” is that epic gallop through a forest of dark glitter and synthetized fireworks, already destined to rock all the danceshores of the summer! “A Simple Express” is an ode to joy and life, taking all kinds of elements from music as it was only a couple of decades ago, into full contemporary effect.

Enter! Enter the tiny universe of Diminutos! Where fantasy rhymes with delicacy and pleasure goes hand in hand with melancholy.

Paola Falciani and Cristian Gualpa are the authors behind this sentimental escapade. Sending their love and sorrow letters out of the city of Mendoza, Argentina, the duo presents its first album, ‘Obligo Al Entusiasmo‘. An intimate project, where Christian’s intricate backdrops accompany Paola’s peculiar and subtle voice.

‘Obligo Al Entusiasmo‘ is also the name of the single, here remixed by Leonel Castillo, who co-produced the album. Alejandro Mosso, also originating from the city of Mendoza, was invited to complete this record with his own version, on which oriental drums meet his signature latin cadence.

Following the soothing ‘Landscapes Of The Future’ compilation, featuring selected ambient works by Argentina’s finest (Jonas Kopp, Gustavo Lamas, Leonel Castillo…) GREENER RECORDS is proud to present its first split EP, with label boss ANDRES ZACCO and brother in soul FRANCO CINELLI.

The Greener 12″ releases come out on vinyl only, for the simple reason that they are specifically made for DJs, and this is exactly what this record is about. On the A side,
ANDRES ZACCO devellops his ever expanding signature Techno sound. ‘After That’ is a lyrical incendiary device, which engraves Andres’ production deeper in history.

FRANCO CINELLI cuts the B side with ‘Pattern 02 ‘, a magnificiently low-layered track. Preview this one loud on a sturdy system! This is an ultimate utensil, to be arranged and rearranged within a set, highly reminiscent of some late ’90s / early ’00s minimalism.

As we said in the beginning, this is a true DJ’s phonograph, on which both sides can be dropped and again at different moments of a set. Coming up on Greener : a new 12″ by JACEK SIENKIEWICZ and of course more selected dub and ambient works on digital.

In true early ‘90s Chicago fashion, the two original cuts feature some serious drum machine action, building a sturdy way to allow for some exquisite chord relief to flourish. Fritz & Lang is the fresh collaboration between Parisian Francois Touin and the Argentine N.E.Stofenmacher. Both protagonists met in the French capital and immediately related to each other. Next thing we know, they jumped into their improvised studio, fusing Touinʼs programming skills with Stofenmacher’s innate jamming talents.

The result? An irresistible duo performance bringing together live vocals, guitars, bass, synths and laptops. Fritz & Lang made their first public appearance this winter in Paris at La Fleche dʼOr, sharing the stage and cheers with Bruno Pronsato and Ark…

A long time ago, when vinyl records still sold by the thousands, Touin worked at the legendary shop Katapult, along with team Karat. After the store closed, he began taking care of the synth department of Parisʼ finest music store.

On his side, N.E.Stofenmacher has released his music on igloo-rec and taken part in many Argentine projects including Elephant Pixel and Monotax. Both are now based in Paris and eager to unleash their new performance to the world.

The Crash EP is Fritz & Langʼs first release, featuring four originals and two remixes. The title song features the magnetizing vocals of Russian artist Varya Pavlova aka Lisokot. Maya Jane Coles brings adds a darker degree of hypnosis with her remix.

Make Me Feel, Room Music and The Past were selected to exemplify the intricate mood infused around Fritz & Langʼs performance. Airdrop starts off the year right with a gritty floor sweepin’ three-piece-EP by John Spring.

It’s in Berlin that John Spring started building his studio in the mid 90’s. Between then and now, he presented many successful releases on Crosstown Rebels, Resopal or Harthouse, licencing his productions to heavyweight compilations on Cocoon, DC10 and Four:Twenty.

Mr. Spring is also best known for producing a string of records released over the last 8 years on Falko Brocksieper’s seminal label Sub-Static. On these, he developed very intricate and original forms in Techno.

Recently, the man has also been making some major waves as part of an anonymous Berlin collective. Along with his two partners, he creates special blends of deep soul techno. you should already know which project we are talking about…

It is with great pleasure that we announce this Benzo EP, for Airdrop’s magical number AD 018. The record opens with Playing No More Games, with its old school samples and structure, already set to make some serious floor damage.

The title track, Benzo brings things down a notch, featuring heavy filters and hat action. Hands down, Drummachines and its libidinous basslines wins the grit-cup!
