TORA TORA TORA BOMB DROP
FRI MAY 1st – BAR 13 – NYC
April 24, 2009

We are coming back to Bar 13 after our last winter Sunday Birthday roof shindig. Ready to drop some seriously heavy bombs with Miro Pajic from Berlin, NYC’s Dietrich Schoenemann and Airdrop’s own Pat Fontes.
MIRO PAJIC (Lazersluts/ Tora Tora Tora – Berlin)
Born and raised in Frankfurt / Germany, Miro started to get involved into techno back in 1991 when Sven Väth was resident DJ in the legendary OMEN Club, which Mr. Pajic visited every weekend until the mid 90’s. With borrowed equipment (a TR-606 and an MC-202 + a little Spirit Folio mixer) he recorded his very first demo on casette and passed it to the notorious guys from PCP (Planet Core Productions), which were quiet big back then and very involved in the world of techno. (Makers of ‘Frankfurt Trax’ series as an example). They released 2 tracks on vinyl and his first 7′ called ‘MIRO1′ was born. That was in 1993. Miro with his dozens of aliases has created some of the biggest hits in the hardcore sector and is definitely a real legend within that scene. With about 70 vinyl releases produced by Miro, the PCP era was closed near the millenium.
His taste and influences have changed alot. Since then he hooked up with several Berlin and USA based artists and released on labels such as Klickhaus, Kiddaz.fm, Proper NYC and Tora Tora Tora – a beginning of a new phase of his life as a musician. By now he has found his very own and unique style within the Minimal Techno sector. Miro’s productions are mainly nothing for beginners but mostly carry a deep heaviness and psychotic drug atmosphere which can be heard regulary on his own label Lazerslut since January 2008, on which he also shares collaborations with The Horrorist. After 15 years of being involved and knowing what it means to fight for his dreams, his name and reputation is on a rising path in this gigantic ocean of techno today!
DIETRICH SCHOENEMANN (Hidden Agenda/ Tora Tora Tora – NYC)
Dietrich is behind the labels Tora Tora Tora, Hidden Agenda, Stamp Series and ADDON. His recent productions have been dancefloor based outside of the remix for Philip Glass. Current collaborations include Side Four with Tony Rohr as well as The Rancho Relaxo Allstars. He continues to tour as a solo DJ or live act and can also be seen performing with one of the groups. Dietrich began performing live in NYC clubs when he was a teenager in the early 90s. Some of the first major gigs included Danceteria and Communion@Limelight. He formed Prototype 909 with Taylor Deupree and Jason Szsotek in the summer of 1993. Four albums and four years of constant touring ending P909 in 1997. Hidden Agenda was started along with Dietrich’s becoming a dancefloor DJ at this time.
PAT FONTES (Airdrop – Boston)
Opening the night, Pat Fontes, aka Mr Techno, former owner of Satellite Boston – one of the few people who has managed to help continue the Boston Techno scene growing. With releases on Thoughtless and an upcoming Airdrop project more great things lie ahead for Pat!
