Sunday is Cool for the Degenerates
March 30, 2009
Despite not having been able to go to as many, or anywhere near all the parties, Sunday School for Degenerates was the most exciting. With so much anticipation, no other event gets as much pre-WMC hype. Everyone wants to know who is playing Sunday School and in many ways it influences the other party promoter decisions.
Made Event, founded by Laura de Palma and Mike Bindra has rapidly become a big name in the event production industry. They have produced events promoting some of the biggest commercial dance music acts like Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Victor Calderone, but this has not stopped them from promoting events like Save the Cannibals and Sunday School for Degenerates, which appeal to the less mainstream (to put it nice and simple) with talents like Damian Schwartz, Steve Bug, Seth Troxler, Cassy, and many more. Regardless of the DJ spinning or the crowd attending, Made Event has shown consistency in properly producing events, love it or hate it.

This year’s edition started on the Saturday to make sure everyone got there in time for Sunday’s lessons. Unfortunately, a few acts were unable to make it, which is part of the whole Miami thing, but a Tobi Neumann vs Adultnapper did help make up for Mathias Kaden’s absence. Like nearly every other event this year in Miami, something had to come up, but fortunately for them it had nothing to do with permits, police or the bureaucracy, but the rain, the unstoppable high-powered jungle-fever-rain!
Check us out chilling drinking a beer under the bus, where my beautiful Masomenos t-shirt got oiled! (Dam, I don’t know how I do it but this is not the first party I leave with oil stains on my shirt, seriously. The sun finally came back and everyone was happy, including Cassy who got to close up the party with her irresistable vinyl only set. The rays of fire even brought Larry a few lovely ladies…
