We are very proud to present a remix collection of Soul Clap’s “The Giraffe”, the first AirDrop record — it was actually released as a special colored vinyl edition in March ’08! So it’s time for a classy “Giraffe” comeback!

Gathering an eclectic mix of remixers hailing from Soul Clap’s home town Boston, to France and even Argentina, AirDrop once more acts as a creative hub uniting musicians and vibes from all over the world to drop their dance bombs on the floor: Cates & DPL from Oregon, the Parisian duo Masomenos, the Venezuelan/ Argentine prodigy Minimaril, and Bradford James from Boston. AirDrop joins forces with some of the most interesting newcomers and fresh talents around to create an exciting remix selection for the headstrong.

The release is exclusively on Juno Download for a few days more, before releasing on Beatport. Here are some previews:

Hello hello! As we are preparing for a crazy end of the summer (which anounces to be crazier than the summer itself), it is time to unleash some more goodness that will be coming out soon on AirDrop. For this edition of Tastes of the Future we are revealing Clip‘s new tune Dub Etnic. The shuffly beauty also received the care of Russian super-duo Bvoice & Khz, but you will have to wait for it to release to enjoy that one!

Many people going to Miami, who still have money after a week of partying (not to mention energy) are eager to get to the notorious Sunday School for Degenerates. Now for the first time, they are bringing the school to NYC for a much needed lesson on how not to behave! The line up is pretty crazy as can be expected…the event stretches from Sunday August 31st through September 1st, is in 3 parts with a boat party and parties at both the Yard and Rebel.

Which artists are the returning Degenerates from Miami?

Since Connie‘s last episode on AirDrop’s Podcast last March (AirPod Nº5 Connie – Matte on the Beach), the girl has been rocking many dancefloors worldwide. Well, first she came to get it down in Buenos Aires, where in the space of three days she played in three major spots “de la escena porteña”, with Fase Miusic Sender, Sr. Replicante and Nico Purman at our Extracto party!

After Argentina, its in Canada that Connie went to lay down some beats in June on the occasion of the fabulous Piknic Electronik. Each year the Picnik, invites an amazing line up of artists to play on the week ends and in the warm summer open air. This year already featured appearances by Zip, Guillaume Coutu Dumont, Sety, Mathias Kaden, Thomas Melchior, Josh Wink, Loco Dice, Mathew Jonson and of course Connie!

(Be on the look out, as Piknic goes on til the 28th of September with more goodness coming up – Jennifer Cardini, Pig & Dan, Tony Rohr… – and concludes on a huge fest with the man himself, Claude VonStroke and and and…. Kevin Saunderson !)

In the middle of all her travels, Connie even finds some time to satisfy her NYC home public, like a couple days ago when she opened for Holger Zilske… But no wait ! No time ! She has to leave to Greece to play with Jeremy P. Caulfield, Miss Fitz and K.atou as part of her reSolute residency with Elon… Well I think we all got it by now, Connie is a busy busy lady ! In this edition of AirPod, she gives us a mix entitled Horny Music: an hour of the weird-sounds-filled, jumpy and funky mini-tech that only she has the secret. The mix is full of unreleased gems, some which apparently, might never see the light (such as the opening Alka_Rex track)… Enjoy!

Oh oh oh ! Wait ! I nearly forgot the most important !! We are honored, privileged, walking on air, on a high (…) to officially announce that Connie’s first production will be released as part of the new volume of our Extraction compilation series ! KEEP OUT, all I am allowed to say, is that this ish BURNS!

Indaba is a cool site for music collaboration, letting musicians from around the world to work on projects together through their site. minitek, which you should know by now is nyc’s first electronic music and innovation festival from Sept 12th to 14th. They are also extremely commited to emerging talents with artists like Monoblock, Format:B, Elon and of course Fase Miusic Sender on their first year line up.
