We have just launched a new site for mashup artists and fans named Mp3Clash. Mashups became popular with the notorious Grey Album that mixed Jay-Z’s Black Album with the legendary White Album by the Beatles. The reason for the increase in popularity is partly due to the advance in technology for the digital editing, mixing and recreating of music. I love music and many times I feel an urge and desire to experiment putting two (or more) songs I love together. Unfortunately, I am still practicing and perfecting my own skills, but have found more experienced DJ’s and musicians who have created some pretty amazing mashups. One of my personal favorites is by DJ Earworm who mixed Zdarlight by Digitalism with Feel Good by the Gorillaz with a featuring from De la Soul. The result is pretty explosive from beginning to end.
