Moby @ 205 Tuesdays
17 01 2008When I saw the flyer I did not really believe it. Moby was DJing on Tuesday at 205, a NYC hotspot on the lower East Side. I am a very big DFA fan and to hear their sounds followed by a phenomenal Moby set made my Tuesday night. I had never seen Moby live, and the small, but well decorated, and vibrant basement of 205 was not where I would expect him to spin. I was also not expecting to hear him play progressive techno that was borderline minimalist. I had always thought of Moby as more easy listening music, but he made everyone’s body rock till the point of being late for work. My expectations were off and it was absolutely amazing! Also, you should definitely check out more of DFA’s sounds and support the artists. Until next Tuesday!
