Open Bar @ the ADC Gallery
6 12 2007Last night I was lucky to find out about an event organized by Zenbu Media at the ADC Gallery. The event starred a few emerging artists as well as some more well known celebrity art by John Lennon, Jerry Garcia, Marcel Marceau and more… Unfortunately, in the US, dead celebrity artwork is subject to the same speculative madness as the internet dotcoms. In other words even with a cheap dollar some of the works are being sold for 5 times what they are sold for in other countries.
Of the up and coming art I enjoyed what I believed to be a more artistic and creative take on caricatures. Leah Falco, one of the up and coming artists present at the event is an illustrator who’s specialty is caricatures. My personal favorite was this one that I saw on her website :
I am still puzzled by who would want this more: the liberal or the republican?
