As AirDrop pursues its mission to help developing artists, and eventually, manage a large art collection, we are buying art that we like and consider affordable. I found out about “Sounds like another custom show” presented by Syrup Kids when I saw a funny looking sticker in Soho with the name to go along, Phallic Mammary. So, I checked it out and saw that there was going to be an event with custom painted guitars, which sounded cool. The event had a decent crowd and 17 custom guitars that were going to be auctioned off on eBay the next day. I saw a bunch that I liked, in fact if I could have purchased the whole collection, I probably would have.
I was able to take down 2 of the auctions, 1 for the Phallic Mammary guitar and the other for the Steve Raggie guitar. I have put two pictures below, I think you will figure out which one is which, but have labeled them just in case

Here are a few pics of other guitars that we were not able to purchase (sadly)

Who would have thought that on my trip to Brattleboro, Vermont, to witness Rhythm Ruckus in their home element (and accompany them to WBRS 107.7 where they were interviewed and performed tracks from their upcoming Backyard Farmacology album) I would stumble upon what turned out to be high quality electronic music in a cool cozy venue at the WeatherVane music hall in Brattleboro, VT.
The evening of fun electronic beats ranging from the self produced beats with clear Aphex Twin influences to great remixes sometimes with more commercial songs, (but only in creative and original ways ) like with mixe of Technologic by Daft Punk and DANCE by Justice.
Here are 2 short videos…

Why can’t the rest of the world be more like Sweden!? More blonds, taller people, more parties in NYC! It’s nothing new for the Swede’s to party hard, but to do it on their country’s tab, now that’s what I am talking about! iSwede is hosting weekly parties where they bring in big name Swedish DJ’s to big clubs in the city. Last week was Steve Angello at Cielo and this week will be Eric Prydz at Pacha. Check the flyers for details (Nov 16th @ Pacha). Oh and for all you non Swede’s, such as myself, there is an open invitation to be Swedish posers, by mentioning the iSwede list.

All Rise! After so many hours locked into the studio, Soul Clap’s talent and beats sees the light and goes straight into the King’s Court: we can now all get it on Beatport! Adam Collins (owner of Euphoria Records, Chicago based label which houses Terry Francis and Freaky Chakra) produced the original of the Pool Night track, both are released on qoo7 Marky Star Japan-based record label.
Remember that our favourite DJs (and now producers!) Soul Clap also produce the amazing podcast “The Adventures of …” that you can immediately get by following this link. The podcast features exclusive sets by Italoboyz, Pig and Dan, Pat Fontes and even young Paulo.

Tuscany, one of the most beautiful and coveted regions of our planet has seen the birth of a new itinerant cultural and audio-visual event: The Ghost Parties. The inauguration in October received unexpected media coverage, as the event welcomed 400 people, more than twice the number of anticipated guests!
AirDrop always on point, decided to sponsor the next coming event, and offer to the Ghost Parties’ public, one of Argentina’s notorious artists in terms of A/V: Mi Acampante. Click on his name to listen to his beats.
Acampante was the director of a design firm that dealt with big clients. He also founded Trimarchi one of the biggest design meetings in the world. But one day he left his office and started to write music, stories and basically ignore his former life.
His new “clients” are now all those projects that reflect his purpose: cultural events, music labels or simply anything he feels is true to his vision of goodwill.
This personal project took him to many countries of the world to be part of renowned festivals such as Creamfields, SouthFest, Off Sonar, Resfest, …
After his Italian appearances, Mi Acampante will be en route to Berlin, where he will speak and present his work along the most influential motion graphics and animation studios and artists at the Pictoplasma forum.
This new edition of the Ghost Parties will also feature local artists Cora & Mamo along Acampante in the Electronic Room, and Appaloosa in the Indie-Rock Room. See the flyer in our photo section.
And here is one of Acampante’s visual creation:
